Search For Boys Who Helped Police in Gloucester

Written by on March 24, 2010

Police would like to make contact with two boys who helped them catch a suspect in Gloucester.

Officers responded to a call from a member of the public reporting a man breaking into a blue Citroen Picasso in Horton Road at around 4.45pm on Sunday March 14.

The suspect fled the scene on a bike allowing him to ride down alleyways which the police couldn’t access in their car.

Two boys then lent the officers their bicycles so that they were able to chase after the suspect.

After the officers had arrested the suspect and recovered stolen property they returned the bikes to the boys but didn’t get their details.

Officers would now like these boys to contact them so they can say thank you.

If you are one of these boys, or you know who they are, please contact Gloucestershire Constabulary on 0845 090 1234 quoting incident 278 of March 14.

A 29-year-old man from Gloucester was arrested on suspicion of theft from a motor vehicle. He has been bailed to return to Gloucester Police Station on April 13 pending further enquiries.
