Show Title and genre: Future Me Gloucestershire Young People’s Show Takeover

Interests & Hobbies: I enjoy using my spare time to read and write, listen to music, practise British Sign Language (BSL), play video games and practise playing the ukulele. I am passionate about studying new and interesting topics, such as those within history, anatomy, psychology, sociology, and law; I feel that continuous learning ensures I engage various brain functions often and enables me to further develop my knowledge in a range of differing areas. I have keen interests in baking and creating art as I enjoy creatively imagining, and then creating something that is entirely my own; both also influence my perfectionist personality and good eye for detail to flourish. I also have an ever-growing collection of plants which I care for and enjoy watching grow because they each provide me with a sense of positivity and achievement.

Musical background / History: I participated in a range of differing types of dance clubs growing up. I also used to play the flute and violin whilst I was in secondary school. I still adore singing and dancing (in private) and I am now currently learning to play the ukulele.

How did you get involved in GFM? I work for Future Me Gloucestershire, who asked me if I’d like to engage and be a part of their radio show.

Achievements:

For me, every endeavour that I undertake and fulfil is an achievement, regardless of how big or small it may be perceived by other individuals. I think some of my biggest achievements would include coming to my own terms with my gender identity and sexuality, continuing with my education and career work even when it became increasingly difficult and independently taking the right steps for me when I was at my lowest point.

Musical aspirations:

Although I may not have many musical aspirations, I plan to further learn how to play the ukulele and I would love to play the violin and participate in a dance club again in the future.

Most influential tracks:

I know of a wide array of highly influential tracks that have each provided me with endurance and fulfilment during every stage of my life. Some of which include ‘You’ll be fine’ by Palaye Royale, ‘Sleepwalking’ by Bring Me The Horizon’, ‘Wonderful life’ by Bring Me The Horizon, ‘Obey’ by Bring Me The Horizon, ‘And The Snakes Start To Sing’ by Bring Me The Horizon, ‘Can You Feel My Heart’ by Bring Me The Horizon, ‘Why You Gotta Kick Me When I’m Down?’ by Bring Me The Horizon, ‘Nicotine’ by Panic! At The Disco, ‘Parents’ by YUNGBLUD, ‘Polygraph Eyes’ By YUNGBLUD, ‘Message Man’ by Twenty One Pilots, ‘I Think I’m OKAY’ by Machine Gun Kelly, ‘Hurt’ by Oliver Tree, ‘Why’d You Only Call Me When You’re High?’ by Arctic Monkeys and ‘Absinthe’ By I DON’T KNOW HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME.
