The GFM gospel crew will present a special version of Gospel Soul Food Mon 10am-2pm In tribute to Martin (The Legend) Wallace. GFM presenters are welcome to come in to pay tribute.
Many newer listeners may not know about the legacy Martin has left, Gospel music on GFM is where it is now because of Colin Watts, Martin Wallace and Vere Richards. When GFM started on the journey 11 years ago the vision of the Chair of GFM, Mr. D.C. Francis, was to have Gospel Music more widely accepted: this is now achieved. Martin helped to pave the way for Gospel Music to be available to the wider community, some might not know that Martin was a entrepreneur when it came to gospel music, not only playing it but also selling it to those that had difficulty getting hold of Gospel Music. He knew where he wanted Gospel Music to be and there were debates about the amount of Gospel Music not being played on GFM and where it should be played. We have now reached a point where churches advertise on GFM, Martin helped to make this happen!
