Guesting on the B-Line show this Saturday (05 May) is "Sparkplug" who originally came from the heart of the Community served by GFM 96.6!!!…….
Sparkplug is a hip hop beat maker and songwriter who hails from Tredworth in Gloucester and now resides in Leeds. He originally started out as an MC as one half of the duo "critical mass" and performed on stage in Gloucester, London, Birmingham and Bristol in the late nineties
After disbanding in 1999 he started to produce beats for himself and local rappers, gaining further exposure across the South West as a beat maker and MC.
By 2005 he released a CD single on Mass Records as solo artist "Stoney Broke", which was distributed across London and led to a number of performances and events such as the famous Deal Real records freestyle sessions.
After moving to Leeds in 2007 and reverting back to his original name of Sparkplug, he has worked mainly on production and is now keen to work with upcoming artists in conjunction with his new Cold Case Records label which started life at the beginning of 2012.
