It’s easy Wii-sy to eat great food

Gloucestershire primary school pupils are being given an added incentive to try school meals. 
Pupils who don’t normally eat a school meal are being encouraged to pick up an entry card from their school canteen and get it stamped every time they enjoy a meal.
They just have to collect 5 stamps and answer an easy question to be in with a chance to win a Wii.
The competition is being launched at Hardwicke Parochial School on Monday and the closing date is 2nd April.
Edwards and Ward, Gloucestershire’s school meals contractor, is running the competition in conjunction with Birds Eye.
Seven Nintendo Wiis will be given away.
Cllr Jackie Hall, Cabinet Member for Schools, said: “We have had really positive feedback so far about the quality of school meals and it would be great if more pupils tried them, even if only for a week.
“We have worked hard with Edwards and Ward to put together a tasty, healthy and attractive menu and we would like to see more pupils giving it a try.”
Jane Woolf, Marketing and Development Officer for Edwards and Ward, said: “Our first hurdle is to get children and parents to see what a great new menu we have on offer.
Once they try some of the dishes, they can hopefully see how having even one freshly prepared school lunch a week could be a tasty and healthy alternative from a packed lunch.”
