Serious Assault In Eastern Avenue – Appeal For Information

Police in Gloucester are appealing for information following an assault in the early hours of Saturday, May 1.

The incident happened outside the Royal Mail depot in Eastern Avenue between midnight and 1.30am.

A 27-year-old man was attacked by what are alleged to be four boys of around 17 or 18 years of age. He was subsequently treated at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital with serious injuries.

DC Grace Samuel, of Gloucester CID, said: “We are appealing for witnesses and particularly for the driver of a blue ‘old style’ Peugeot who stopped near the scene and spoke to the victim after the attackers had fled.”
