Deadline To Vote Less Than A Week Away

With county council elections taking place across Gloucestershire on Thursday 2nd May, Gloucester City Council is urging residents to make sure they are registered to cast their vote.
Already 92,676 registered voters have received their polling cards, and the council is keen to ensure anyone entitled to vote does not miss out.
The deadline for registering to vote is Wednesday 17th April 2013. Residents can request a registration form by calling Gloucester City Council elections office, during office hours, on 01452 396203 or by printing a registration form at www.gloucester.gov.uk
The deadline to apply for a postal vote, or to amend an existing one, is 5pm on Wednesday 17th April 2013. Postal voting papers will be sent out to everyone who has requested them on Friday 19th April 2013
The deadline to apply for a proxy vote, i.e. voting on someone else’s behalf, is a week later, 5pm on Wednesday 24th April 2013.
