GFM 96.6: Support Our Station

As everyone knows, (& our politicians / leaders constantly keep reminding us!) we are currently living in difficult financial times: grants, sponsorship & other funding from many of our traditional sources is drying up & advertising is getting harder to acquire from other cash-strapped local businesses. Money is harder to come by AND that which we have buys less & less; as costs, e.g. rent, utility bills & equipment maintanence costs, continue to rise.
Last Saturday (08 June) Saturday Soup launched the "GFM 96.6: Support Our Station" campaign to explain the situation & encourage support from the community to increase GFM’s cash-flow in order to keep us on-air.
There are three major fundraising initiatives coming up in the next few weeks/months – these are:-
1) a BIG 7th. Birthday Celebration party, with GFM presenters themselves spinning the TUNES! – http://www.gloucesterfm.com/gfm-96-6-celebrates-7-years-r-u-ready-2-party/ – "Come to party with Love in your heart!"
2) A £10,000 Album Launch – Brother Harvey & The Angels are launching a Gospel Album with the aim of raising £10,000 for GFM, in August!!. Pre-orders are now being taken for the album (£10 each). Have you ordered yours yet? Keep it locked to GFM for more details & to hear preview tracks. Call or text the station to place your pre-order & leave your name & contact details with the presenter.
3) GFM will be hosting a drive through fundraising car wash on Saturday the 22nd and Sunday the 23rd of June in the car park at GO Outdoors – https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=345260125600761&set=a.260397404087034.62289.260135674113207&type=1&theater
Volunteers are requested from the community & the ‘GFM-Family’ to help make this a success & raise a large sum of money. Of course we are hoping for many people with dirty cars to come along to get them shiny-cleaned & Support Our Station in the process!
ALSO – please support events that GFM is working in partnership with – better still let them know you got involved because you heard the ad on GFM 96.6: people will most likely come back & advertise with us again when they find it makes a difference!!
