Could You Spare A Few Hours A Month To Support Gloucester’s Community Radio Station?

Written by on May 29, 2013

Gloucester FM is a voluntary run community radio station that is operated entirely by volunteers  and broadcasts music, news, information & advice to the citizens of Gloucester and beyond via the internet (and delivers training when funding allows). We specialise in playing:- Gospel: RNB: Hip Hop: Reggae: UK Soundz & many other genres of M.O.B.O. (Music Of Black Origin). GFM: Live & Local all year 24/7

We are currently recruiting new volunteer presenters to join the rota of presenters on the GFM Programme Schedule. This includes Reggae-specialist presenters to present our Reggae-led ‘Drivetime’ show (weekday afternoons) & other Reggae shows, both new & classic Reggae. Also there are opportunities for presenters of other genres of M.O.B.O. music, old & new. If you think you can bring something to GFM 96.6 please get in touch! Please call 01452 525 425 (office hours)

Away from "spinning the tunes" and "dropping hot vibes"  — BUT — equally important to a community radio station, we are looking to recruit new members to join our Community Link Crew. This is involves connecting with our local community & voluntary / community groups working within it, to bring the ‘news, information & advice’ that benefits & empowers our listeners. For more information or to offer your support please e-mail our Community Link Coordinator – carolfrancis@gloucesterfm.com.

Behind the scenes: Gloucester FM is also looking for someone who can take the minutes at the Gloucester FM Management Board meetings, held once a month: also someone who has basic I.T. skills & could help to keep our website updated with the latest community news & events etc. Please call 01452 525 425 (office hours)
