There will be no excuse for being bored on Bank Holiday Monday as rowing, canoeing, speed boating and sailing are just some of the activities on offer at an Open Day at the South Cerney Outdoor Education Centre on Monday 31st May.

The Open Day has been arranged by Gloucestershire County Council’s Youth Service to give the public the opportunity to try out activities that take place at the Centre which is on the Spine Road by the Cotswold Water Park.

Mike Watson, Head of the Centre, said: “We would like to raise our profile with the local community but also with individuals and groups from all over the county and beyond. The activities we offer are for all ages and abilities and can be enjoyed by everyone, including those with disabilities. We will have display stands with centre staff available to give information about courses for young people and adults.”

The Open Day will take place from 10am until 4pm and each activity will cost £1.

Councillor Will Windsor-Clive, Cabinet Member for Youth, said: “This is an excellent opportunity for the whole family to get outdoors and take part in fun activities together. So, instead of staying indoors and watching TV on Bank Holiday Monday, go along to the centre and try something new
