Police Call For Information After Elderly Woman’s Handbag Grabbed In Abbeymead

Police in Gloucester are calling for information after an elderly woman fell victim to a thief in Abbeymead.
The incident took place at around 11.30am on Wednesday, April 21 next to the traffic lights by Morrisons in Heron Way.
The 81-year-old victim was approached from behind by the offender, who grabbed her black leather handbag/shoulder bag and ran off towards Morrisons. Amongst the stolen items inside the bag were two purses, £450 and a watch.
The offender is described as male, between 30 and 35 years old and approximately 6ft tall. He was wearing a grey jacket and a deer stalker hat with long ears.
