Police are offering a large reward for information leading to the arrest of Brett Ireson, who is wanted in connection with a shooting in Matson last week.
A £2500 reward is available for information directly leading to his arrest and another £2500 for information directly leading to the recovery of the firearm used.
Officers investigating the incident on Friday, July 9, in which a 24-year-old man was shot outside his house in Winsley Road, are currently searching for 27-year-old Brett Anthony Ireson, who is from Matson.
Ireson is described as approximately 5ft 11ins tall, of proportionate build and dark brown hair.
Detective Chief Inspector Simon Atkinson said: “We are doing everything we can to find Ireson but ask the public to contact us immediately if they see him.
“Ireson is not considered to be a danger to members of the public but we would ask anyone who sees him not to approach him but to contact Gloucestershire Police.
“I would like to reassure the local community once again that we do not believe this was a random shooting. This was the result of a feud and the people involved knew each other.”
A special phone number has been set up to take calls about the shooting. Members of the public are urged to ring 01452 335300 with any information. Alternatively, people can still call the police non-emergency number 0845 090 1234 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
This morning police arrested a 21-year-old woman from Dursley on suspicion of assisting an offender in connection with the case.
