Around 1,300 job hunters went through the doors at Kingsholm Rugby Ground to learn more about opportunities in Gloucestershire on Tuesday.
A jobs fair was held at the stadium and a number of employers were on hand to talk about 700 job vacancies and to offer advice.
Ahmed Goga, director of Gloucester Works which staged the event, hailed its success.
He said: “It went extremely well and it was great to see so many more people than last year. It gives people an opportunity to talk directly to the employer, which is rare. This is the third one we’ve done and in total we had around 4,000 people through the doors.”
Companies at the event included Debenhams, Super Dry and Renishaw.
At last year’s event 835 people attended and there were 500 jobs being advertised.
