Man dies in collision with car on A40 and woman injured in ambulance collision at scene

A MAN in his 40s died and a woman was injured in an incident on the A40 last night.
The inside lane of the eastbound carriageway was cordoned off due to the accidents but has since re-opened.
Just after 7pm a man, believed to be in his 40s, died in a collision with a car on the bypass.
And shortly after a woman was hurt when the car she was driving collided with an ambulance attending the scene.
She was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital suffering from chest injuries.
Witnesses who are yet to speak the police should call 0845 0901234 and quote incident number 390 of September 27.
